STOMP!!

Do not underestimate the musical potential of ANY object.

A few friends and I went to watch STOMP last night at the Istana Budaya. It was like …WOW!!!

STOMP is a movement, of bodies, objects, sounds - even abstract ideas. But what makes it so appealing is that the cast uses everyday objects, but in non-traditional ways.

There's no speech, no dialogue, not even a plot.

It’s just so damn cool!!!!

The performers used so many different kinds of objects to make music stuff that you never even give a second thought about like plastic bags and even banana skins were used to create one of the most exciting kinds of music I’ve ever heard!! It was just wonderful!!

My personal favorite is the part where they used pipes-yes pipes, of different length and diameters to play this lil cutesy tune..SWEEET!

The part where they made music with lighters was cool too. Simulating to both the visual and auditory senses.

Heck, the whole show was just UBER cool!!

The whole show was just intricately orchestrated, vigorously choreographed. I admire the performers. Imagine the number of hours they put in and the numerous bruises and injuries they sustained just to make the performance perfect!

The STOMP experience is just so infective that I felt like clapping and dancing along..lol..and I got my chance! The crew actually conducted the whole audience to STOMP along with them!! The amazing thing is that they didn’t utter a word yet managed to synchronize the about 500 strong audience (just an estimation) to clap, snap their fingers and stomp their feet in perfect unison=)

It really was a great night. The great show made the journey to Istana Budaya and all that haggling with idiotic taxi drivers that couldn’t be bothered to use the meter(but we found one that used the meter and had a really nice driver in the end) worth it.

Plus we got the RM 250 tickets for the student rush price!! Only RM 77! 3^rd row stall seats!!

STOMP will be playing till Sunday so those who have yet to watch it go quick!!

To get cheap student rush tickets get there early. Ticket for the student rush starts selling at eight. But to get the good seat I suggest you start queuing at about 715pm.

PHONE GONE!!! AGAIN!!!

i think most of you don't know that somewhere around this time last month i lost my samsung SGH-E600c. and guess what lightning can strike the same f**cking place twice!!i lost my replacement SGH-X540 which i only used for like three weeks!! actually i don't think my phones are "lost" just like that i have the strangest feeling that some one stole them because right after i found out my phone was lost and tried to call ack the phone was already turned off.this happened on both incidents! and the funny part is my friends who were with me during that time(both the incidents)have seen me using my phone only 5 mins before i declared my phone lost!!
. to the two stupid mofo's that stole my phones please be more considerate to other people's feelings!!i don't know whether to hate you or to pity you!!!

RESOLUTION: i will learn to keep an eye on my hp!!!will not let it out of my sight anymore!!

8 hours and thirty mins left before i leave home...arrrgh i so dun wanna leave!!!adamant to keep awake to maximize hours left being at home!!not going to sleep today!!..no worries got lotsa time to catch up on tht in the bus..
mom brought me shopping again!!yay!!!twice in three days!!yay!!ahahahaha..got a few new stuffs..lovely items..though mom got the bulk of the purchases i'm damn happy with the stuff she bought me!!!and to my complete suprise for once i didn't even buy anything i repeat anything that is PINK!!!*shocked*
and dad got me a super cool Prince tennis raquet..lol..don't need such a "canggih" one since i don't even know how to play tennis, but he insisted...thanks a billion!!
lol had a swell 5 days in penang..met up with old friends and had a great time chatting(even though the service in tht particular joint we visited sucked big time).visited INTI again..same old place..didn't change too much only tht for the first time i noticed,or more like realized that a college is not supposed to be that empty..lol..but nvm..leela still insists tht it would be much better if i continued at inti but i beg to differ.(why would i wanna stay there,stuck to tht critical old lady till the end of the year anyway??)but pondering on tht point ...hmmm..i guessed on one hand it would have been better because of the swell bunch of friends i have there,but on the other hand i won't make the grade to qualify for the course i want at uni..so i guess the better decision is to leave.
anyway i'm stopping here dun wanna waste the rest of my precious time stuck in front of the monitor.
